Our History
JANUARY 2021
EDP acquired Inland Dredging Company, LLC with the support of AV Capital, an Austin, Texas-based private equity firm.
- Founded in 1997, Inland established a reputation for quality, integrity, and accountability within the industry and throughout its diverse client base. For 24 years, Inland provided high-quality dredging services throughout the Central U.S. River system and the Gulf Coast areas of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.
- Inland’s main services included maintenance and deepening dredging, beach nourishment, coastal restoration, marsh creation, and island restoration and protection. Inland operated a fleet of three high-quality 24” cutter suction dredges and provided an experienced group of highly skilled professionals utilizing the latest technology and equipment to assure client satisfaction on every project. These same high-caliber professionals continue to provide top-quality services under the Encore name.
APRIL 2021
EDP acquired the dredging division assets of RLB Contracting, expanding Encore’s geographic footprint into the Texas Gulf Coast region, and the capacity of Encore’s maintenance dredging fleet.
- Beginning in 2010, RLB added dredging services to its existing business through the initial acquisition of the Cutter Suction Dredge Jonathan King Boyd, now known as Constellation.
- RLB further expanded its dredging fleet in 2018 with the acquisition of the CSD Eagle One, now known as Ranger, and was a provider of maintenance dredging services to both private and public customers primarily in the Texas market.
